Common operational, metallurgical, and delivery queries answered by our senior engineering division.
A Skelner reverberatory furnace is ideal for clean, high-grade aluminium scrap, profiles, and secondary ingots where large bath volumes are melted under radiant roof heating with minimal slag generation. A Tilting Rotary Furnace (TRF), by contrast, mechanically rolls the charge with salt flux under high-intensity oxy-fuel combustion, making it vastly superior for contaminated dross, chips, turnings, and shredded foil, yielding up to 98% metal recovery.
Our combustion systems are engineered with modular dual-fuel burners compatible with Piped Natural Gas (PNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Light Diesel Oil (LDO), and Furnace Oil (FO). We also engineer advanced Oxy-Fuel burners for TRF units requiring accelerated cycle times and reduced exhaust gas volumes.
Shaligram pulse-jet baghouses utilize high-temperature Nomex and PTFE-membrane filter tubes coupled with spark-arrestor cyclone separators and lime-injection reactors. This guarantees particulate matter emissions below 10 mg/Nm³ and neutralizes acid fluorides/chlorides in accordance with CPCB and global environmental standards.
Standard standalone furnaces (1T to 5T) typically require 6 to 8 weeks from engineering sign-off to factory dispatch. Complete turnkey smelting facilities (furnace + baghouse + ingot casting line + PLC automation) generally require 12 to 16 weeks, followed by 3 to 4 weeks of on-site mechanical erection, refractory curing, and cold/hot commissioning.
